Scheduling

Equipment

Equipment scheduling for our AFM, probe station and furnace is maintained on the following google calendar (ask Ethan for the password): minot.group@gmail.com

To use this calendar go to http://calendar.google.com

Common sense ground rules for equipment scheduling (standard practice in most labs):

  1. If you're using the AFM, probe station or furnace for more than 15 minutes, enter your start-finish time into the scheduling calendar - this way other labmates can plan their day.
  2. First priority always goes to the person who was polite and scheduled their time in the calendar.
  3. If someone is 15 minutes late for a reservation, and you can't reach them on a cell phone, the reservation is considered canceled.
  4. Try to be accommodating (for example, if you're on the AFM from 8am - 8pm, help someone who needs a quick characterization).

Meetings

Class and teaching commitments means that group members are busy at different times. This list will help you figure out when someone is available.
