How did microsoft manage to make this difficult?!
Manually type a list of number that will be used for binning the data.
Next to the column of bin numbers, select the cells that will be filled with frequency counts.
Type a formula “=FREQUECNY(…,…)” and select the appropriate data and bin numbers.
Type “Ctrl+Shift+Enter” so that the formula get applied to the array.
Insert a chart (choose column graph)
Right click on an empty part of the graph, choose “select data”, get the x and y coordinates fixed up.
